Teacher of the Month (November): Sara Dirks (Sixth Grade Teacher)
Reason Nominated: Sara always puts the kids first despite the many challenges thrown her way. Whether it is discipline, extra duties, meetings, etc she always does so with a smile on her face. She is determined to meet her team’s needs and the students as well. Whether it is coming up with creative consequences for behavior choices, meeting with parents, taking on extra duties/paperwork, Sara Dirks has gone the extra mile with a smile. Determination, keeping the humor going, thinking outside the box and putting the kids’ and her teams’ needs first are the qualities that make Sara an outstanding member of our Maricopa Community.
Staff of the Month (November): Samantha Kuffner (School Nurse)
Reason Nominated: Samantha’s communication with parents and students is always patient, kind and caring. She continually goes above and beyond her job requirements and strives to provide the very best care for all of our students. Admin is often asked, “How can I help?” even with all that is on her plate. Her communication with staff and families is always thorough and kind.
