Dear Legacy Patriots,
It is such a privilege to have been chosen as your principal. I have been with Legacy since May of 2012, when I began as your Assistant Principal. I am a true Arizona “native.” I grew up in Chandler and graduated from Arizona State University. I have twelve years of experience as a classroom teacher, and after earning a Master’s Degree from Northern Arizona University in Educational Leadership, I served as principal for seven years. I am truly passionate about all aspects of school life and I believe Legacy’s model for building a strong educational community is best for children.
We provide an accelerated, back to basics program, that allows motivated students to achieve excellence both academically and physically. Our results speak for themselves, as our district is “A” rated. We know that this is accomplished when parents are supportive and involved in their child’s education. You are always welcome on our campus and will be given many opportunities to be part of not only your child’s classroom, but of our school community as well. One of the many rewards of being a school leader is observing the close relationships made when families interact while supporting their school.
We encourage patriotism and character, and proudly introduce Athlos to our Queen Creek families. The Athlos concept brings fitness curriculum and wellness instruction to our students. We already have one of the strongest junior high sports programs in the area, and with this addition we will take our school to, “The Next Level.”
I believe there is something very special about our Queen Creek campus and I look forward to being your principal.
Marie Wilson, M.Ed.
