Legacy Mustang Families,

My name is Christine Fitzsimmons and it is with great honor that I introduce myself as your new principal. I am humbled by the opportunity to serve a wonderful community of staff, students and parents. I am excited for all of the new opportunities and experiences that the 2012-13 school year will bring.

It may be hard to believe but I am a native Tucsonan! I grew up in the far northwest part of town and went through the Marana school system. I received a scholarship to play basketball at the University of New Mexico and finished out my schooling at the University of Arizona. I am an avid sports fan and believe that academics and extra-curricular activities help to create a well rounded student.

Here at Legacy we pride ourselves in creating a safe learning environment to maximize student achievement in a back-to-basics school setting. By creating a partnership between staff, students and parents, our school has earned an “A” ranking by the Department of Education in our first year of existence.

Students who attend Legacy are not only challenged academically, but also focus on character development throughout the school year.
