Welcome from Mrs. Allison

Welcome to the 2011-2012 School Year,

Thank you for choosing us for your child’s education! Since the beginning in 2007, we have grown tremendously as a school with over 1100 students on our beautiful campus. With the continuous support of our dedicated school leaders, our exceptional student body, our supportive families, and our resourceful community members, we continue to hold true to our mission.

As stated in our Parent/Student Handbook, Legacy Traditional School’s mission is to provide motivated students with the opportunity to achieve academic excellence in an accelerated, back-to-basics, safe learning environment taught by caring and knowledgeable educators in cooperation with supportive, involved parents.

As your Principal, I come to LTS-Maricopa with eleven years of teaching experience and three years of administrative experience. More importantly, I have a genuine love and respect for people and I am passionate about the academic and personal growth of the staff, students, their families, and the community in which we live. I will continue to build upon the foundation that has been set to continue to build a legacy of learning.

“Intelligence plus character-that is the true goal of education.” I embrace this quote by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. as it combines both intellect and good ethical practices. This year, we will continue to focus on continuous academic growth as we bond together as a learning community who embraces the six pillars of character, becoming contributing members of our society. The six pillars of character are trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship. Our character will count everywhere, all the time.

I believe that useful communication is a key component in helping us succeed as a learning community. LTS-Maricopa teachers and staff will work hard to provide timely and helpful information to families through individual class newsletters, The Golden Quill weekly school newsletter, email, flyers, and even on Facebook. Please like our fan page http://www.facebook.com/ltsmc to stay connected and informed. We encourage you to communicate frequently with teachers or the front office staff. It is our goal to provide outstanding customer service to everyone connected to our school and our district.

Again, thank you for choosing our district and school for your child’s education. We are looking forward to establishing and maintaining a partnership with you.
