Dear Legacy Family,

What a joy and privilege it is to be the principal of this amazing school – THE BEST IN THE WEST!

At Legacy Traditional School – Avondale, we have an amazing staff of caring educators, who love children and are dedicated to accelerated teaching and learning. I am thankful for all of our Lynx families, returning and new, that have chosen us to provide an excellent education and positive learning environment for your children.

I’m excited to enter into our second year, knowing that we will be building upon our established school culture of high expectations and performance. Our theme this year, “Growing by leaps and bounds, inside and out,” is inspired by our increase of over 350 students, 6 support staff, and 14 teachers. I believe this growth is evidence that LTS-Avondale is serving the community and meeting a need for a back-to-basics, traditional school for motivated students. We will continue to challenge our students academically and nurture character development with rigor, positive discipline, and support.

Our children will grow by leaps and bounds because of our proven direct instruction model, accelerated curriculum, expert staff, and involved parents. We will hold true to our mission, to provide motivated students with the opportunity to achieve academic excellence in an accelerated, back-to-basics, safe learning environment taught by caring and knowledgeable educators in cooperation with supportive, involved parents. I firmly believe that the partnership between parents and the school is central to our students’ continued success. Legacy teachers and staff are passionate and committed to helping students reach their highest potential. They are able to quickly meet the needs and goals of our students when there is open and frequent communication with parents.
