“Our team is dedicated to successfully shaping the educational future of Arizona’s children,” Aaron Hale, Legacy cofounder said. “We look forward to opening Athlos Traditional in Chandler and offering families a program with their values in mind.”

The new multimillion dollar campus is being built on the southeast corner of Queen Creek Rd and Gilbert, just in time for school to begin in August.  The 12 acre campus was design from the ground up with a healthy lifestyle in mind. Children will be learning in a state-of-the-art facility which includes Learn Ready classrooms, labs, a media center, a performance stage, fitness rooms and of course an expanded high school regulation gym.

Athlos Traditional School is part of the Legacy Traditional Schools charter of six outstanding charter schools in Arizona. The schools are all tuition free; K-8 schools offering a model that parents have come to trust because of its effectiveness.

Legacy Traditional Schools were founded in 2005, with the first campus in Maricopa, and then additional campuses were added in Casa Grande and Queen Creek. Now three new campuses are being added in Chandler, Avondale, and Northwest Tucson.  Over $27,000,000 is being invested this year alone in the new facilities. Legacy currently educates 2,300 students enrolled at three campuses. It is one of the largest charter school districts in Arizona and will double size in the next year.

“Both teacher and student retention are unprecedented and in the 90 percentile range,” Hale said. “We can anticipate an increase in the number of students attending charter schools across the state as public school districts dismiss teachers and increase class sizes to accommodate for the loss of funding.”

An established record of proven student success is driving the growth, as parents collectively discover the benefits of a higher standard of quality education.

“The strengths our students demonstrate, both academically and socially, are a direct result of our high expectations across the boards,” Bill Gregory, Legacy Traditional Schools cofounder said.  “We are very proud of all the students and so are they. We can’t wait to expand and offer those same opportunities to more students.”

Preparing Arizona’s students to compete in a global market is one of the goals for Athlos Traditional. In taking a look at the national scores and realizing that Arizona ranks 49th in the nation, parents in Arizona are now looking outside of the traditional public school education system for alternatives. Charter schools are finding their niche with families who value proven educational success.

“Parents deserve a choice in education,” Gregory said.  “A choice that fosters success and gives Arizona children the education they deserve.”

One of the most important decisions a parent makes is deciding which school will provide the very best education for their child.

Open enrollment is currently taking place for students as well. There are a select number of openings available for the 2011-2012 school year. To attend a parent meeting, schedule a tour or find more information:
